Julio Sosa

Julio María Sosa Venturini (February 2, 1926, Las Piedras, Canelones Department – November 26, 1964, Buenos Aires), usually referred to just as Julio Sosa or El Varón del Tango, was an Uruguayan tango singer.

In 1949 Sosa moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he would live until his premature death in a car accident. Nicknamed El Varón del Tango ("the male of tango"), he recorded several albums and became one of the most important tango singer of all time.
