Judi Bowker (born 6 April 1954 in Shawford, Hampshire, England) is a British television and cinema actress. Her roles include Princess Andromeda in the film Clash of the Titans (1981).
[edit] Biography
On stage from childhood, she first attracted international attention as the star of The Adventures of Black Beauty, a 1972 TV series which was a "continuation" (not an adaptation) of Black Beauty. Bowker was brought to the big screen by Franco Zeffirelli, who cast her as Clare in the 1973 Francis of Assisi biopic Brother Sun, Sister Moon.
Her best-known film appearance was as Princess Andromeda in the 1981 Ray Harryhausen swashbuckler, Clash of the Titans, which starred Laurence Olivier and Harry Hamlin.
Bowker's youthful haughtiness has since been successfully exploited in frosty, aristocratic roles. She is married to Harry Meacher. She is also a trained ballerina.
