Juárez City of Dreams is a 2007 British documentary film written, produced and directed by Alex Tweddle for Angry Man Pictures Ltd.

Ciudad Juárez is situated across the Rio Grande from the US city of El Paso, Texas. Its over one million desperately poor inhabitants have mostly travelled from the Mexican interior to make Juárez one of the largest border towns on earth.

But why do some many people come to this city? To work in the poorly paid US based factories or maquiladoras as they are locally known; to illegally cross the border, into the US, in search of the American dream; to traffic drugs for the Juarez Cartel, one of Mexico’s most powerful drug gangs; or maybe it’s just to Murder! They say that if you want to murder and rape a girl and get away with it, then come to Juarez, as this will be your city of dreams.
