Juana la Loca (English title: Mad Love) is a 2001 film about Juana of Castile, starring Pilar López de Ayala in the title role. She won a Goya for her role; the film was nominated for a total of 12 Goyas. The film was directed by Vicente Aranda.
It received 3 Goya awards, Spain's equivalent of the Oscar, in the categories of Best Actress, Best Wardrobe, and Best Makeup and Hair.
It also starred Manuela Arcuri as Juana's rival for the affections of Philip the Handsome (played by Daniele Liotti).
