[edit] Current Status
I currently attend York University full-time, as a doctoral student in the history and theory of psychology.
[edit] Background
I am a graduate student, with a previous degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto. My current research focuses on the forgotten works of Jean Piaget, which has relevance to teaching, special ed, AI research, and (more generally) the philosophy of science and epistemology. I also have an interest in systems approaches to the assessment of intelligence and creativity. This has led me away from psychology on occasion and into the history of biology. I can read and translate French, although I do not speak it as well as I would like.
In my other life, I have also occasionally worked part-time as a manager and consultant in R&D. I have rarely made any money at it, though, so it's really just an excuse to work on cool projects while paying for school.
I have also taught at the undergraduate level in psychology, cultural studies, and the history of science.
[edit] Politics
I think of myself as "informed" and "interested." According to the Political Compass, I am Slightly Left (|3.4| out of |10|) and Moderately Libertarian (|4.3| out of |10|).
[edit] Contributions
Although I am currently reworking this section, I still welcome constructive criticism. If you have some, however, please understand that I may not be able to respond immediately: my school schedule sometimes prevents me from returning mail as quickly as I would like.
