[edit] UNSW
So by your logic, should the reference to the University of Sydney in the Redfern station article be removed from it as well (seeing as a lot of students that use that service catch busses or walk from Redfern)? The very fact that a sheer volume of students gets off at Central, means that it deserves a mention. It may not be the closest station to UNSW either (Green Square is), but due to the aforementioned usage, it deserves more of a mention that UTS does. Nebuchanezzar 02:03, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

- No - Sydney Uni and UTS are the direct stations in close proximity to the station - it doesn't matter if there is a short walk. UNSW is not directly served by a railway station nor is it within walking distance of the station - it is served by a bus from Central. Same reason that Macquarie University is not mentioned under Epping station, though when the new station opens it will get a mention there. But under the bus section, (which needs expansion), in the Central article, you are more than welcome to put an expansive mention about UNSW and the large amount of buses that serve that station. - In regards to the Campbelltown station photo? Yes, yes I should be able to do that, although I do not have a digital camera, and thus the quality and size of such a photo will be heavily limited. I could also get a photo of some remnants of the Pansy line out near Narellan if I ever get time. Nebuchanezzar 07:59, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Blnguyen's RfA
| Hello JROBBO. Thank you for your support and gracious comment at my request for adminship which ended at the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0), and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation - especially after people like yourself make a rare visit to RfA to support me. You can see me in action and observe what then happened as a result. If you need admin assistance, feel free to ask me. Naturally, if I make any procedural mistakes, feel free to point them out. I look forward to working with you in the future, hopefully as an admin. Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 02:23, 31 May 2006 (UTC) |
[edit] Southern railway line in Sydney
Hey mate, I've added the stations table to the railway line above, but did not add the stopping patterns (or filled out the travelpass zones thing), since I'm mainly in Brisbane, but do visit Sydney from time to time for varied reasons. So I'd ask you if you know the stopping details or travelpass colours for those stations, feel free to complete the table. Cheers! --Arnzy (whats up?) 13:18, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] That's cool.
It looked like nonsense to me. Sorry to disturb your hard work. You can go ahead and delete it. Please accept my apology. --Zpb52 07:05, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spirit of Tasmania III
I recently took a trip on the SOTIII from Sydney to Devonport and it comes as no surprise that it's all about to end. The crossing of Bass Srait ranks high on the 'worst 8 hours of my life' list. Anyway, I have a couple of shots of cars being loaded on and a shot of the insignia of the boat which may be of use. No full-on boat shots though but I can drop down to the wharf and take one in the next few weeks as I don't live far away - let me know. I did find a nice shot at http://www.geocities.com/davfu/SpiritofTasmaniaIII.jpg and I've asked the owner if he will release it to the public domain. I'll let you know the result. amitch 13:08, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
