Jovan Uglješa

Jovan/Ivan Uglješa (Serbian: Јован Угљеша, Bulgarian: Иван/Йоан Углеша) was a Serbian despot and Vukašin Mrnjavčević's brother. He was stated the master of the Serbian lands, Greece and Pomorje. He was a Despot in Serres from 1365 to 1371, succeeding the Empress Consort Helena.
The Patriarch of Constantinople mentioned the master of Serbia, Uglješa in a letter from 1371, Ugljesha's state was around Lower Struma.
He was killed on 26 September 1371 in the Battle of Maritsa.
