Journal of Business Entrepreneurship and the Law

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and the Law (“JBEL") is a publication of the Pepperdine University School of Law and is sponsored by the Geoffrey H. Palmer Center for Entrepreneurship & the Law (the “Palmer Center”).[1] The Journal was largely conceived during the 2005-2006 school year by founding editors Jeff McDonald and Kyle Strache, and began operations the following year. JBEL has a biannual publication schedule, featuring articles by academics and practicing professionals, as well as student-written notes and comments.

JBEL strives to be a leading publication for entrepreneurs and business professionals through its dedication to the coverage and development of entrepreneurship and business law. To compliment its printed journal, JBEL plans to offer internet resources, including an online forum to facilitate interdisciplinary discussion. The journal itself will also be published in electronic form and be available on JBEL’s website.

As part of its mission to facilitate discussion of issues in entrepreneurship and business law, JBEL collaborates with the Palmer Center to host entrepreneurship and business-related symposia. Symposia materials are later published by the Journal.
