As far as I know Joseph Johnson did not invent the jewel bearing for watch movements. does anyone have any evidence otherwise ? Racklever 14:32, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

The jewelled bearing was invented by Nicholas Facio de Duillier, Peter Debaufre and Jacob Debaufre in 1704 who took out a English patent to protect their idea. Racklever 22:20, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
