Anyone know how he died? --unsigned comment from anon IP 80.172.12.189 21:50, 8 January 2005 (UTC)

He died of a shoulder carbuncle, contrary to the popular belief that he died under the guillotine.

Anyone know what his family changed their name to? At this point, I don't think we need to protect their privacy. 71.244.156.78 15:42, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

this page is heavily plagerised from http://experts.about.com/e/j/jo/joseph-ignace_guillotin.htm Spencerk 09:02, 14 November 2006

  • The page isn't plagarized from that site---that site is an archive of Wikipedia. Dce7 19:03, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Isn't "painless decapitation" an oxymoron, even if the guillotine made it almost instantanious?
