The principal source for this article is its Spanish counterpart (See José Antonio Lacayo de Briones y Palacios). However, it was restructured for clarity and wikilinks were added. Some of the included material is only peripherally related to the subject of the article. Sections pertaining to descendents were omitted as being beyond the scope of this article; they might serve as the basis of another, e.g., "Lacayo (family)". J. Peterka 14:27, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
