Josh Billings (November 30, 1892 - December 30, 1981) was a professional baseball player from 1913 to 1923. Before playing professional baseball, he was a star player at Kansas State University (1910) and Oklahoma State University (1911-1912).[1][2]
Billings primarily played catcher, although he also made appearances in the outfield and first base. Billings played for the Cleveland Indians for the first six years of his career. In 1919, Billings was traded to the St. Louis Browns for Les Nunamaker. In St. Louis he received considerably more playing time than he had in Cleveland. In 1920, Billings had a career year, hitting .277 and finishing seventh in the league in times hit by a pitch. Billings' career batting average was .217.
