Joseph Raffael

Joseph Raffael is an American contemporary realist painter, born on February 22, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY. His paintings are almost all presented on a very large scale. He lives with his wife, Lannis Raffael in the south of France. He was awarded three times, 1975 Purchase Prize, Concours d'Antiques, Oakland Museum, California 1974 First Prize, Tokyo International Biennial, Japan 1960 Louis C. Tiffany Fellowship
In the United States, Joseph Raffael's works are available for viewing at the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York. His next show there is scheduled for Fall 2007.
Raffael's work is featured on the cover of the June 2007 issue of Watercolor Magic magazine.
