Joseph Marcell (born August 18, 1948) is a Caribbean-born British actor, best known for his work as Geoffrey the snooty English butler on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He serves on the board of the Globe Theatre in London and is a British citizen.
Joseph Marcell moved with his family to England when he was 5-years-old. He studied at Sheffield University in South Yorkshire and graduated from the Central School of Speech and Dance. Joseph is a British actor who has been in the profession for more than 25 years. He has been married 3 times. He has two children from his first two marriages; Ben born in 1979 and Jessica born in 1989. His current wife's name is Joyce. [1]
