Joseph Jungmann

Joseph Jungmann (1773–1847) was a scholar of Czech language and literature. He wrote a five-volume Czech-German dictionary. [1]
Jungmannova Street in Prague is named after him. Jungmannova Namesti (Jungmannova Square) is also named after him; located at the northern end of Jungmannova Street, it contains a large statue of Jungmann.[2]
