Joseph de Jussieu, (Lyon,3 September 1704- 11 April 1779, Paris), was a french botanist, member of the Jussieu family. He introduced the common garden heliotrope (Heliotropium peruvianum) into Europe.
He was the brother of Bernard and Antoine de Jussieu,
