Dr. Josef Pühringer (born 30 October 1949 in Traun) is an Austrian politician. Since 2 March 1995 he has been the Landeshauptmann of Upper Austria. He is a member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP).
He is a member of K.A.V. Austro-Danubia Linz, a catholic student fraternity that belong to the Cartellverband der katholischen deutschen Studentenverbindungen.
