The University of Denver (DU)'s Josef Korbel School of International Studies is graduate school located in Ben Cherrington Hall (BCH) on the DU campus. It was formerly the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) before being renamed on May 28th, 2008.

DU and Dr. Ben Mark Cherrington created the Department of International Relations, one of the first in the country, in 1929.^[1] This department became the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS) in 1964, under the leadership of Josef Korbel, father of former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.^[2] Since its inception, the school has been committed to helping professionals respond intelligently, ethically and effectively to the challenges facing the global village.^[3]
