Jongsong Peak is a mountain in the Himalayas. At 7,462 m (24, 482 ft) it is the 53rd highest in the world. Its peak forms a three-way boundary between India, China and Nepal. [1] The peak is dominated by Kangchenjunga, just 20 km (12.2 m) to the south. Between its first ascent by an expedition led by G.O. Dyhenfurth in 1930 [2] and the first ascent of Nanda Devi in 1931 it was the highest-climbed peak in the world.
