Jonathan Smart (born February 1, 1981) is a Scottish professional football defender who currently plays for Scottish Third Division champions, East Fife.

He is the teams star player and is the fans favourite at Bayview Stadium and has caught the eye of many teams in higher leagues in Scotland. Was named Man of the Match earlier this season when East Fife lost in the CIS Scottish Cup to Rangers. The Scottish Third Division were massive under-dogs as they play in the Scottish Third Division and Rangers are in the SPL.
In the 2007-08 season, Smart was awarded the Scottish Third Division's Player of the year award.[1]
