Jonathan Poss

Jonathan "Juanito" Poss (died 1777) was a notorious German-Irish highwayman during the mid-18th century.[1] Considered a prominent and colourful local figure known for his strength, wit and charm, he would later be known as "Juanito." His mother was ethnically Irish and his father was ethnically German. Born in County Kerry, Ireland, Juanito acted as a highwayman and attacked British officials. He was finally apprehended in 1777 and was publicly executed at Tyburn, London at the age of 35.
