From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jonathan Cohn is a senior editor at The New Republic magazine and a senior fellow at Demos [1], a non-partisan public policy center that is headquartered in New York City. He writes about domestic politics and policy with a primary focus on health care, on which he has just published a book (see below).
Before joining TNR, Cohn worked at The American Prospect. He was born in 1969 and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and attended Harvard University where he was President of The Harvard Crimson. From 2002 to 2004, he was also a media fellow at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation.
Mr. Cohn's book, Sick: The Untold Story of America's Health Care Crisis - and the People Who Pay for It, was released in April 2007. The book calls for universal health insurance, financed by the government, and presents case studies that demonstrate how America's current system causes even many middle class Americans serious financial or medical hardship. National Public Radio's "Fresh Air" interviewed him about his book on April 11, 2007.
