Jonathan Carrington Born: July 7th 1942
Jonathan Carrington was one of the stars in a Leicester side that reached the FA-cupfinal in 1963, where they were defeated 3-1 by Manchester United. In his career for the club, Carrington played a total of 500 matches as a goalkeeper, with a possible highlight of saving a last-minute penalty in the 1963 FA-cup semifinal against Blackpool. After the end of his playing career, Carrington was assistant manager for the club during two seasons, before retiring completely. He now resides in London, where he writes poetry.
