Jonathan Berkey

Dr. Jonathan Berkey is Professor of History at Davidson College in NC. He holds a Ph.D. from Princeton University and has become one of the most respected scholars of the history of Islam and the Middle East. He has published numerous articles and books on Islamic history, including The Formation of Islam (ISBN 0-521-58813-8), which received the top annual book prize from the Middle Eastern Studies Association in 2003.
