Jonah Bayer is a former music editor of Alternative Press magazine and is a currently a contributor to various music and guitar magazines. He has been on camera as a music expert on the Fuse network and is featured in the 2006 emo documentary "Bastards Of Young". Bayer also plays guitar for Astro Magnetics/Eyeball Records recording artists, The Lovekill.

He is also in a project called United Nations alongside Geoff Rickly and Daryl Palumbo.

He attended Ithaca College for undergraduate study.
