[edit] Biography

Thaxton is a boxer who made a come-back in 2004, after being injured in a car-crash, to win the British lightweight title against Lee Meager two years later. He has since defended the title twice.

On 4th April 2008, Thaxton lost a European title clash at York Hall in Bethnel Green, East London against Yuri Romanov after a deep cut forced his corner to withdraw him before the sixth round.

The defeat is likely to kill Thaxton's ambition to fight fellow British Lightweight Amir Khan, the current holder of the Commonwealth title.
