Jon Istad (born July 29, 1939) is a former Norwegian biathlete.
With the Norwegian relay team he won a silver medal at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble. He also won a gold medal on the 20 km in the 1966 World Championship in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, becoming Norway's second biathlon world champion in history.
