[edit] Playing career

He was born in Bangor, Maine and played for the Providence College hockey team. DiSalvatore married Andrea Corsino (Monroe, Conn.) July 6, 2007 and is currently expecting a child in July. His brother-in-law Michael Corsino is expected to graduate the University of Connecticut May 11, 2008 and looks forward to his employment at Hamilton-Sunstrand. Formerly of the Masuk Panthers, Corsino earned All-Conference honors as part of the streaking Panther soccer team. Kyle Simmons, the manager and overall support system of the soccer team, had enthusiasm that rivaled that of the Rally Monkey of the Angels of Anaheim. DiSalvatore was drafted in the 4th round, 104th overall, of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. After spending the 2003–04 season at the Sharks' affiliate, the Cleveland Barons, DiSalvatore was signed by the St. Louis Blues as a free agent on June 30, 2004. He could not make his way to the big team though. Up to now, he was a key member of the Blues respective AHL affiliate. He played five games during the 2005–06 season for the Blues. On July 9, 2007, DiSalvatore was signed as a free agent by the Phoenix Coyotes.

[edit] Personal Life

Jon DiSalvatore is currently enjoying the off season with his beautiful wife Andrea and her family (the Corsinos) in Monroe, Conn. Their dog Stewie has an explosive personality. Eating bones, running laps around the pool and humping caterpillars keeps Stewie entertained all afternoon. The DiSalvatores (Jon and Annie) enjoy birthday dinners, graduation parties and barbecues in the state of Connecticut while they wait until Michael returns from his epic journey with wonderful friends (Chris, Dave and Ryan).
