Jokeroo

Jokeroo is a word that that is commonly associated with the website Jokeroo.com. The website is host to various funny pictures, videos, and gaming content. The website was founded on February 8, 2001 by two teenagers based out of Toronto, Canada. The website records over 6 million unique visitors per month and over 20 million page views (according to ComScore Media Metrix). Jokeroo.com was formerly known as Jokaroo.com prior to October 15th 2006.


On September 18th 2007, Jokeroo Entertainment was recognized as one of the fastest growing web properties in the Entertainment Humor category. It placed in 3rd place behind National Lampoon and Comedy Central while posting growth of 37% from July to August in the United States.[1]


On July 5, 2005 Jokaroo entered into a partnership with America Online to provide user generated content.[2]

On June 26, 2007 Jokeroo entered into a partnership with Quebecor, parent company of Canoe.ca to provide user generated content.[3]


On April 29, 2008 Jokeroo.com premiered the first ever video fade-out advertisement with Warner Bros for the movie Speed Racer. The video fade-out advertisement was the first of its kind and was invented in-house by the team at Jokeroo.[4]
