- Here are some extra tips to help you get around Wikipedia:
- If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills, try the Sandbox.
- Click on the Edit button on a page, and look at how other editors did what they did.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too. Always sign comments on Talk pages, never sign Articles.
- You might want to add yourself to the New User Log
- If your first language isn't English, try Wikipedia:Contributing to articles outside your native language
- Full details on Wikipedia style can be found in the Manual of Style.

[edit] User page
I'm afraid that we don't allow editors to add articles about themselves. Rather than deleting it, I've moved it to your User page (User:JohnDavies). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:08, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply. There's a little more leeway concerning people editing articles on themselves (though it's still deprecated), but as you started this article yourself, that didn't appply, I'm afraid. I hope that you'll feel that you want to stay and contribute anyway. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:44, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

- I wonder if we're talking at cross purposes? I'm talking about the article that's now at User:JohnDavies, with this History. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 17:05, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
