I grew up in Forest Hills. I've lived in places ranging from California to County Cork, from Boca Raton to Brookline Hills. Now I am back in my native Jamaica Plain, a hip hood in Boston, Massachusetts.

In Cork, Ireland I created a zine called Crunchy Frog. I worked in Provincetown on Cape Cod as editor of The Source and was a writer and photographer in Boston and Providence for In Newsweekly.

My essays and poetry have appeared in print publication such as Paramour (a Cambridge-based journal of artistic erotica), Circle Network News (a Wisconsin-based pagan newspaper), and The Journal of Saint Anne de Beaupré (a Catholic magazine in Quebec). I have published cartoons under my own name and under the aliases “Hugh Mann” and “Ace Fujikawa”.

Places that I have visited and published accounts of include Amsterdam, Dublin, New York, London, Paris, Toronto and Washington, DC. In the course of my work as a fundraisier I've been to Houston, Las Vegas, San Francisco and other cities.

I recently published photos in BostonNOW and was recently quoted (via the Associated Press) by ABC News, AOL News, The Boston Globe, CBS News, Chicago Tribune, Forbes, Fox News, Houston Chronicle, Los Angeles Times, The Miami Herald, MSNBC, National Public Radio, Newsday, New York Times Regional Media, San Francisco Chronicle, TIME, USA Today, The Washington Post and other news media. Outside the United States I was quoted by EIN News International (Czech Republic), The Guardian (United Kingdom), Independent Radio News (United Kingdom), International Herald Tribune (France), Winnipeg Sun (Canada) and Yahoo! Asia News (Asia).
