[edit] Introduction;
I am an essentially retired geologist with an academic background in paleontology doing volunteer work in a large collection of Paleozoic cephalopods and other fossils as well as docenting in a local natural history museum. I am familiar with the scientific literature and with the evolution of ideas and the various arguments regarding early cephalopod taxonomy.
My primary interests are in the taxonomy, evolution, and paleoecology of lower Paleozoic forms, especially at the family level.
All in all I hope my contributions to be informative and worth while, and to fill in a lot of the blanks.
Regards to all, John McD.
