Johan de Lange is an experienced technologist (EE) with 7 years in radar and missile guidence systems (avionic) and a further 16 years in the computer industry, specializing in financial services and retail solutions with a focus on transaction processing and payment systems. Having spent his early years developing new products and opportunities with the likes of Data General, Netscape, ICL, Fujitsu and Sun, in South Africa, he moved to the UK and spent 7 years working with clients and banks around the world in developing exciting new payment systems and solutions, with projects spanning the globe, from the world's largest retailer in the US, fringe projects with AIG, Elektron Mexico, and others in the Americas, to new processing projects with SAMPATH in Sri Lanka, Maybank in Malaysia, ANZ Australasia, RBS Natwest, Barclays Bank, HSBC and Loyds TSB in the UK, PAGO and Wirecard in Germany, SEB in Sweden, Bank of Ireland, Nedbank in South Africa, Nam A Bank, Viet A Bank, Anbinh Bank, Southern Bank in Vietnam, and many others. Very quickly it became evident that he focused on low cost solutions that could offer multiple product and or channel choices to his clients. Famously opposed to using NDC+ or DDC for projects with ATM devices due to their age, he has had to eat his words on occasion. When not with his nose in a book or computer, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son in sunny Cape Town.
