Why do people say it sounds like an advertisement?

The article states that little is known about these guitars. I thought the purpose of advertising was to let people know about a product? Furthermore, the article correctly points out that the guitars are thought of as "not bad for the money" which isn't a particularly glowing review either.

So why does it sound like an advertisement?
