[edit] Clean-up

"How the music all began." Ouch. Someone needs to clean this up.

An anon. editor deleted the formatting and categories that were previously there. I've restored them. Maltmomma (chat) 01:28, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Musical career

It's nice to have the story about Johnny's run in with the law for the goat situation, but how about something that acknowledges what a great country music star (of the 1970s and early 1980s) he was? He was quite successful with his Tex-Mex style, after all. [[Briguy52748 18:14, 28 February 2006 (UTC)]]

Actually, even though I don't know much about the man's career, I'm not too sure about the goat situation itself. It occupies half of the article, the other half being a list of Rodriguez's albums, and is more a piece of trivia than anything truly important. There are slang words and changes in tense (past to present), which don't really suit Wikipedia. Cromag 21:47, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

We need to see a more detailed biography about Johnny and his career and his hit songs. I already have included a full discography of his singles. We need to know about his career with Mercury Records, Epic Records, and Capitol Records. User:BravesFan2006 17:47 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I deleted the whole goat rustling incident. Why should something like that have such a prominent place on his article? Let's try to find some more information on him. Agadant 14:38, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
This article has made some big progress since I saw it last. Hope to have more time soon to contribute. Johnny R. was a very popular country artist in the 1970s but most young people today have never heard of him. Agadant 14:48, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Made some corrections and did some rewording but the article could probably have more links and certainly needs references and notes, if anyone has time. Agadant 16:37, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

I also don't think he lives in Tennessee anymore. I don't think he's lived there for quite some time. Last I heard, he was in San Antonio, TX, but he may be living in a different city now. Anyone know for sure?
