Wouldn't John J. Sheridan be a better place for the article, without the need of the (Babylon 5) disambiguation? Parenthesis disambiguation should IMHO be used only when no other means of disambiguation is available. Unless, of course, the other John Sheridan is also John J. Ausir 22:20, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)

On the other hand, I've just googled up that it was initially said that his middle name was David, but he was referred to as John J. Sheridan in some following episodes. However, JMS himself said that his middle name is David, and the J initial was a slipup if there's a confusion about his name, then it's better to keep the article here. John Sheridans birthday was in 2215.

[edit] Sheridan as backup commander for B5?

The article claims that it was Santiago who chose Sheridan as backup commander of B5. Could someone cite a source for this?

My understanding was that President Clark removed Sinclair from office to get him out of the way, then placed Sheridan in control of B5. As a war hero hated by the Minbari, Clark assumed that Sheridan would be loyal to him and his agenda. He also felt that putting the "Starkiller" in command of B5 would be a useful provocation. Instead, of course, Sheridan was eager to build friendly ties with the Minbari and others, and was secretly part of General Hague's network.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:B5 sheridan.jpg

Image:B5 sheridan.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Three wives?

As far as I know, Elizabeth is his sister, unless I got something terribly wrong.--91.13.25.114 (talk) 22:49, 9 May 2008 (UTC) edit: Nevermind, I forgot Lochley --91.13.25.114 (talk) 22:51, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
