The Church of the Living Word (founded by Stevens) was a metaphysical gnostic Christian cult. Stevens, after divorcing his wife Martha, remarried and died of prostate cancer, believing the soon to be born son (turned out to be a daughter) was to be his own reincarnation. This is a very dangerous cult now run by Gary Hargraves.
