Why is this guy's nationality listed as English when he's British? Wattersd 17:05, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are regarded as separate nations in many sports, snooker being one of them. One reason for this is that so many of the top snooker players are from the UK. --Auximines 18:07, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
England's subjugation by Scotland does not mean it is not a nation, just as Poland's subjugation by Russia in the 19th century did not mean that Poland was not a nation at that time. Alex Middleton (talk) 19:18, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
