Some disambiguation might be needed, John McLaren also is a person responsible for the creation of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco California BruceHallman 16:36, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

It is a toss up whether John McLaren (gardener) might be better than John McLaren (park superintendent). Indeed, the lifetime feat of building Golden Gate Park took gardening skills, but arguably, it took more political skills to negotiate the turf battles in City Hall, and that political skill is what really made John McLaren a success. Therefore, 'superintendent' is better in my personal opinion. BruceHallman 17:13, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
