[edit] Term as governor
He was appointed in 1946, and didn't retire till 1957. That's 11 years. Governors are usually appointed for 5 years, subject to extension. I imagine he served his first 5-year term and was extended for a further term. If so, we should state that he did serve his initial term but was unable to complete his extended term. -- JackofOz (talk) 00:57, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I've explained that in the Governor of Queensland section. --Canley (talk) 08:44, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
