The result of the proposal was no move per User:Bkonrad - While the John Henry of folklore is fairly well known, it seems far too common a name not be a disambiguation page. JPG-GR (talk) 19:11, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm, isn't John Henry the folklore character more notable than the rest of these jokers put together? Couldn't we, therefore, move this article to John Henry (disambiguation) and switch that article in here? If nothing else, I'm going to move the steel driving man up to first on the list of possible meanings. - Nat Krause 12:51, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

Isn't John Henry, the subject of the song, a real person? I'm pretty sure he is (was.)Buskertype 01:01, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

The article suggests that he was. In February, John Henry (folklore) got 19182 views vs 4786 for John W. Henry and 1633 for John Henry (album). All the rest got a lot less. See http://stats.grok.se/ 199.125.109.107 (talk) 04:48, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
