I admit to being baffled as to how this article might not be "notable." If I'm wrong, will someone please tell me why?

Gombojab Hangin is not exactly a household name, but he was prominent in the admittedly narrow circle of Mongolian studies in the US. He was essentially responsible for beginning the Mongolian studies program at Indiana University. I wrote this piece in an effort to provide information about someone who's known in the field, but people tend to not know a lot about him. He led an interesting, important life, and was probably more responsible than any non-diplomat for the US recognition of Mongolia.
