The article says "...for their role in the retreat from Long Island". I know it's commonly referred to as "the battle of Long Island", but AFAIK the retreat that Glover coordinated was actually from the island of Manhattan, which is not part of Long Island (Long Island comprises Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.22.238.236 (talk) 17:21, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

The Wikipedia article on The Battle of Long Island says: "During the night of 29 August-30 August 1776, having lost the battle, the Americans evacuated Long Island for Manhattan. This evacuation of more than 9,000 troops required stealth and luck and the skill of Colonel John Glover and his 14th Continental Regiment from Marblehead, Massachusetts." It may be wrong, but that is what it says. Student7 01:55, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
