Talk:John G. Taylor

[edit] More?
I would like to see more here. I had the privilege of attending lectures in Applied Maths and Artificial Intelligence by JGT in the seventies. He was deliberately controversial, but also amiable and inspirational. I remember several of his lectures distinctly, 30 years later. The other two Maths lecturers I remember with great fondness and respect are Clive Kilmister and F D Burgoyne. They all made learning FUN.
I'm sure it was John Taylor who said "Some of us don't need religion - we have Star-Trek instead." Please correct this if I'm wrong. Sasha 18:32, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, inspirational, if this the John Taylor who lectured in quantum field theory at Kings College in the early 80s and author of the bestseller "Black Holes: The End of the Universe" (1973)? If so the foreword has some biographical details I could add.--Michael C. Price talk 00:09, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
