[edit] Why is this article here?

I fail to see the significance of this article in the grand scheme of things. I don't feel that this is something that should be part of an "encyclopedia." I just see other articles about far more significant people that are being marked for deletion. I'm new at this, so I don't want to just delete something. Does anyone else agree with me? - Mary05poppins 17:37, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Cordts took part in a Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, which alone merits his inclusion in Wikipedia. The article is a little sparse, and needs expanding. I'll start by updating the F1 table, but it needs more. Just off the top of my head, in terms of Canadian motor sport in the 1960s, he was a well-known and successful participant, especially in Can-Am racing. There have been very few Canadians to appear in F1, so he is notable for this fact also. Bretonbanquet 18:55, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Place of birth

Can we have a source please, to confirm that Cordts was born in Sweden? I can find plenty to say he was born in Huntsville but nothing for Sweden. Thanks. Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:06, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

Where Are They Now? at oldracingcars.com, usually a very reliable source, says he was "Born in Germany, then moved to Sweden, but grew up in Ontario.". So there's another option! DH85868993 (talk) 23:47, 27 November 2007 (UTC)
