[edit] Interesting Inconsistency
I am not an accountant. I note that the value of the gains calculated by my most recent edit (using the information from the Sunday Times) differs from the stated value on the Financial Times page given on http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/202f949e-a1f3-11dc-a13b-0000779fd2ac.html. In fact, according to the FT, Sir John states an estimate of the returns that are HIGHER than the value calculated using the Sunday Times paper.
