[edit] Constellations allegedly created by Bayer

I removed the following from the article: {{ConstellationsChangedByBayer}} {{ConstellationsByBayer}} They're incorrect:

v • d • e Constellations changed by Johann Bayer in the 1603 text Uranometria Centaurus split into Centaurus, Crux Leo split into Leo, Coma Berenices Piscis Austrinus split into Piscis Austrinus, Grus Sagittarius split into Sagittarius , Corona Australis

Crux was still an asterism within Centaurus. The split occurred later. Leo was split into Leo/Coma by Tycho, or someone earlier. Tabulae Rudolphinae shows that Leo/Coma was considered separate by Tycho. Bayer used Plancius globes and probably Tabulae Rudolphinae. This table seems to be essentially correct, but needs revision:

Keyser and de Houtman transfered their star data to Petrus Plancius, who was the great constellation inventor, while Bayer invented nothing – his main achievement is a rigorous fact collection and map authoring – for which we are very grateful of course. Rursus 10:47, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
