The Johnstown Folkfest is a free music event that takes place over Labor Day weekend in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. It is run by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association (JAHA).
[edit] History
Folkfest began in 1990 when Johnstown recruited the National Folk festival to Johnstown. Following its three year stay Johnstown started its own folkfest in 1994 with Ameriserv becoming title sponsor. Folkfest would take its place in the historic Cambria City section of town until 2003.
[edit] A change of scenery
In 2004 officials moved the folkfest from Cambria City to the newly renivates festival park due to the increasing size of the event.
