John of Gaunt Stakes

The John of Gaunt Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 7 furlongs and 30 yards (1,436 m) at Haydock Park Racecourse in early June.

Named after John of Gaunt, 1st Duke of Lancaster, the race was promoted to Group 3 status in 2008 having earlier been contested at Listed level. Before 1998 three-year-olds were eligible to run in the race.
