John Warren (basketball)

John Warren II (born July 7, 1947 in Sparta, Georgia) is a retired American professional basketball player.
A 6'3" guard/forward from St. John's University, Warren played five seasons (1969-1974) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 6.0 points per game and won a league championship with New York in 1970. He is infamous for scoring on his own basket on a fast break lay-up.
